This annual essay contest is organized to promote Korean youths’ leadership, service, and scholarship. It also aims to influence society to learn from the youths and to think about how to change the world.
2023 THEME: There are a lot of leadership skills. Among courage, problem-solving, time management, and creativity, what is the most important leadership skill?
GUIDELINES:
1. Essays may be submitted by a middle school and high school student. (or the same age) The contest welcomes not only KYHS members but all Korean youths. (Grade 7-11)
2. Essays must be 600 words or less in English, excluding the essay title and cover page. Essays must be typed.
3. Only one entry per person is accepted.
4. Entries must include a cover page indicating: (1) your name (2) date of birth (3) gender (4) nationality (5) address (6) e-mail (7) phone number (8) school name and grade (9) your essay title (10) word count.
* Entries missing any of the above information will not be considered. *
5. Essays must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized entries will be rejected.
6. Essays must be written by one person. Co-authored essays are not accepted.
7. Copyright of the essays entered will be assigned to the organizer (KYHS).
DEADLINE: Entries must be received by 11:59 pm KST on Saturday, June 30, 2023.
