2021 KOREAN YOUTH HONOR SOCIETY (KYHS) ESSAY CONTEST
This annual essay contest is organized in an effort to promote Korean youths’ leadership, service, and scholarship. It also aims to influence society to learn from the youths and to think about how to change the world.
2021 THEME: "Write about a time when someone else looked to you to be a leader. What did you do? How did you respond?"
GUIDELINES:
1. Essays may be submitted by a middle school and high school student. (or the same age) The contest welcomes not only KYHS members but all youths (Grade 7-11)
2. Essays must be 600 words or less in English, excluding essay title and cover page. Essays may be typed or printed.
3. Entries should be emailed to info@eduwashington.com
4. Entries must include a cover page indicating: (1) your name (2) date of birth (3) gender (4) nationality (5) address (6) e-mail (7) phone number (8) school name and grade (9) your essay title (10) word count.
* Entries missing any of the above information will not be considered. * Only one entry per person is accepted.
5. Essays must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized entries will be rejected.
6. Essays must be written by one person. Co-authored essays are not accepted.
7. Copyright of the essays entered will be assigned to the organizer.
DEADLINE: Entries must be received by June 15, 2021 (23:59 your local time).
AWARD:
1st Prize: Certificate and gift card (1 entrant)
2nd Prize: Certificate and gift card (1 entrant)
3rd Prize: Certificate and gift card (1 entrant)
Honorable Mention: Certificate and gift card (1 entrant)
* All prize winners will be announced on July 16, 2021 on the KYHS web site www.youthhonor.org Certificates and gifts will be mailed to the winners in July 2021. * KYHS does not answer individual inquiries
